Joanie's Pizza

Finally made it out to Joanie’s and it did not disappoint! The pizza was very good as well - thin with a crispy crust. However, I would dare say that the chicken tenders were better than the pizza. They’re on the large side (almost like cutlets) - perfectly crispy and tender! No dining area (just takeout) so that was the only downside. I wish Joanie’s was closer to me - if you live in the Lowell/Chelmsford area don’t sleep on this place!

Wow!! The BEST pizza around here. Hands down. We ordered the Elvis in Hawaii and The Truth. They really do uphold the NY style pizza. We’ve never tried eggplant on pizza before and we were really blown away from how tasty it was. The tomato sauce is not overwhelming sweet compared to other places which we appreciate. Crust had the perfect crunch to it.

Drove an hour for the much talked about pizza. It was good we had the Joanie roni and a meatball pizza. The sauce was good, the crust was solid, the overall flavor of the pepperoni was just okay. The meatball was fantastic. Guys behind the counter very nice and polite, the atmosphere or waiting area was kind of run down and no tables to enjoy a slice right there. Two pizzas, two sodas were $57 including tip and tax. I’m glad I checked it out, but will keep my pizza commute to 30 min for garlic breath and 10 min for Deleo’s in Merrimac.

Joanie's Pizza in Chelmsford is The Pizza Mecca of all New England!!! Dan and Anne are 5 Star Pizzaiolo Virtuosos and their passion for pizza comes shining through with each and every slice. These mad scientists have perfected their otherworldly dough and their sauce to cheese ratios are completely dialed in. It boggles the mind how pizza can be so light and airy and yet still so crispy and crunchy all while maintaining a chewy mouthfeel. The premium toppings from their high quality tomatoes, cheeses and olive oil are all top shelf. Dan and Anne's precision-focused approach to pizza along with their carefully and thoughtfully selected ingredient choices blend together to create very unique and complex flavor profiles that are truly out of this world!!! Arguably top 3 pies in Massachusetts overall. This was definitely worth the hype! The chocolate chip cookies were also excellent!
