Sushi Q2.5

During a recent roadtrip, I came across this cute spot for lunch. Food was fresh and great presentation. Environment felt friendly and spacious. As a New Yorker, I didn’t have much expectations for this spot in Maryland and surprisingly they exceeded my expectations in terms of food quality and services. Highly recommended for folks coming through on trips or locals as a go to sushi spot! Gentlemen at the front were responsive and client friendly to our needs.

UPDATE 1\4\25 Under new ownership and has had time to get back to normal business when eating in. Great service, delicious food and nicely plated. Had a nice conversation with a rather new employee. Restaurant is clean. Four booths, one table and a couple of chairs at the sushi bar. They do NOT take reservations. Not a BYOB. They do have an Adult Beverage menu. Just ask for it. The order came out quickly. Presentation and freshness is as good as Sushi Q2. Everything was delicious.

A very small place but just because of its size does it mean that it wasn't great. There are only five places for you to possibly sit compared to the other locations that I've seen. That's probably why it's "2.5" LOL The server I had was super sweet and I would love to have him as my server again he always made sure that we had refills and asked us several times if our food was good. I really enjoyed my Christmas tree sushi and winter soup that came with udon noodles.

Found this cozy sushi spot while passing through town on a business trip in MD and decided to stop in for a quick lunch. Really glad I did. The layout is simple and efficient, and everything just feels well run. The manager was super friendly, and the staff all seemed genuinely happy—no grumpy faces at all. That’s always a good sign, and it definitely felt like the food was in good hands. I also liked that they have a fountain drink machine right in the lobby. The restaurant is in a plaza with plenty of parking, which is a huge plus when you’re traveling for work. Solid experience overall and I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the area.

The lunch special was pretty good for $15. You get to choose 3 rolls, albeit small, but pretty good. You also get miso soup and ginger dressing salad. I ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and spicy yellowtail. They were not spicy and were full of some kind of crunchy filler. Like tempura or something. Place was clean and people were nice.
