SUSHI ICHIBAN

Absolutely delicious sushi at a fun restaurant with friendly staff. Everything I tried was delcious-- the standouts for me were the salmon nigiri and the spicy tuna hand roll. I've been to a lot of sushi conveyor belt restaurants all over the place, and Sushi Ichiban is definitely delicious and a great example of what makes this style of restaurant great. In terms of quality, all of the nigiri I tried was made with high quality fish that tasted fresh and was nicely textured. This is my favorite sushi conveyor belt spot in Portland by a mile and I'm excited to come back again next time I'm in the city. One thing to note is that the neighborhood is unfortunately going through a rough time so walking around at night doesn't feel great, but it was easy to park nearby and the restaurant itself

Very warm atmosphere and i always get good service. Sushi is always proportionate with rice/toppings too unlike other places trying to skimp out. Nigiri was great. Super affordable

Dope sushi joint with friendly people and a cute sushi track with toy train. I eat here alone on break and staff is always very kind to me. Delicious rolls, the salmon is the best in the city imo (if you account for flavor) and the presentation of each roll punches well above. They also serve ramen though I've yet to try it, it looked lovely. I'm in love with their spicy tuna too. Satisfying heat and plenty of fish. I will be a regular customer for sure.

I have worked across the street from this place for years and I finally tried it. I'm am absolutely kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I get sad thinking about all the times I could have been eating this yummy sushi. The sushi tastes fresh and is sooooo reasonably priced. I ordered a boatload of sushi and it was only $20. This is my favorite sushi place now. Bamboo Sushi was my favorite before. The staff here are so friendly and it has low-light date vibes ambiance. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

This is a fun place to visit for sushi that comes to you on a train! You can also order ala-carte as well from a menu. Their food is good quality and has good prices. Don’t be shy to ask what something is, or ask for advice! They’re super friendly!
