If you love a speakeasy feel and Omakase and a good time this is the place to be. We have been by this place multiple times, trying out the other restaurants in Royal Palm, however After being reminded again, seeing a sister location at the PGA resort, decided to try this location out. One liner: if I’m rating solely on the food would give it a four out of five stars, however, as described below because of the experience would upgrade to five out of five stars. We will say it a nice touch to have such a small restaurant as a result, though the quarters are quite tight. Well, the concept is technically a more intimate experiences. There is a limited number of seats at the counter because of the spacing you are pretty much in the next parties conversation, and as a result, you lose that se

Sushi by Bou in East Boca is sooooo darn good. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, it’s omakase only. And yes… it’s worth it. Tucked into what used to be the original AlleyCat space, it’s small and intimate but done right. Cozy without feeling claustrophobic. Just enough room to feel exclusive without feeling trapped in someone’s pantry. The chefs were fantastic. Engaging, confident, and clearly proud of what they’re serving. The fish? Top tier. The kind where you take a bite and immediately stop talking. The uni is still living rent-free in my head. The tuna was incredible, but that’s almost expected at this level. I’m not usually a raw shrimp fan, so I asked them to torch it (and I thrilled that they did). Exactly how I wanted it. Perfect texture, slight char, still delicate. Yum. The only thi

Chef Tim — 10/10 experience. Every bite was thoughtful, balanced, and incredibly fresh. The progression of the sushi was spot-on, with standout flavors that felt both creative and respectful of the fish. You can tell how much care and precision goes into each piece. Thank you for such a memorable omakase — can’t wait to come back! 🍣

Aside from the fact that they weren’t able to serve my father and stepmother several of the drinks they had asked for due to availability, this location was still a great experience overall. The service was amazing, the food was incredible—as it always is at any Sushi by Bou location—and the vibes were great. If you’ve ever been to the Las Olas location, I think a lot would agree it was something special. Unfortunately, it has since closed. While the Great Gatsby–themed atmosphere at this location is fun, I think it ultimately comes down to personal preference. The Las Olas location had a cool disco vibe that felt completely different, and I absolutely loved it (maybe because I’m younger). That said, if you love sushi and aren’t a picky eater, Sushi by Bou is a must. I will always recomm

Cute theming, nice quality ingredients overall. Not the best omakase in the area, but still ok with comfortable ingredients for folks who may be a bit newer to this style of creative nigiri. Some cons: pricy for what you get and feels a bit rushed. Even though we were are the bar, it felt hard to get chef’s attention. We were looking to add on some hand rolls, and we were told we needed to order them from the chef. Getting the chef’s attention to do so was a little difficult. The cheapest dinner is nice for the price but some bites weren’t particularly astounding. Some pieces weren’t as fresh as I’d wished. Overall, it’s a cute spot if you want flashier theming for your omakase. But I found myself missing other omakase places I’ve been to while I was here.
