Sushi Bada Cliffside Park NJ - Omakase, Cocktail, Japanese Restaurant, Lounge

We dined for dinner on a Saturday night, reservations are recommended. We started with some Miso Soup, Soy Garlic Edamame and the Shumai, they all were delicious, the Edamame were very flavorful and delicious. And we ordered three designer rolls and one classic roll, the Geisha, Mahwah, and the Rainbow, and the Manhattan,all were very fresh and very tasty. The atmosphere was very pleasant and comfortable. The prices were very reasonable. The one thing I didn’t like was that the waiter told us he needed the table for another reservation so he rushed us while we still had some drinks left. Overall a good experience and great food.

This place is the hidden jam in Cliffside Park. We had omakase 12 and every thing was fresh and phenomenal. Chef explained to us what each piece was and every bite melted in my mouth. Everything tasted beyond our expectation and felt like we were eating at the fancy nyc restaurant. Atmosphere was cozy and staffs were so kind. They also have nice bar area with great selection. Parking is easy. There is parking garage (free after 6pm) across the street so you don’t have to circle around to find street parking. Overall it was wonderful experience and I highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves quality sushi and a great dining experience.

Had a great experience for dinner on Friday night. Reservations recommended. Our sever Sam was outstanding. I am not a sea food eater but there were enough chicken and veg options for me. The drinks were nice and the overall vibe was very midtown New York! Love it that it’s in our backyard! Hope this place lasts! We will be back again!

I recently visited this sushi restaurant and overall had a mixed experience. The food was definitely the highlight — the sushi and rolls were fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was also nice. From the outside the place looks small, but once you walk in, it’s surprisingly spacious and comfortable. However, the service was disappointing. Our waiter seemed to ignore us most of the time, and whenever we called him, he kept asking for “more time.” It took over 30 minutes just to get the drink I ordered. The bartender wasn’t busy at all — he was literally just sitting there — which made it clear that the waiter hadn’t even placed the order. And instead of trying to make the experience better, the waiter simply said, “I’ll bring it when it’s ready.”

Food was AMAZING. We sat at the VIP sushi counter, and I ordered the "Trust Me" and we started with the Soy Garlic Edamame and the Beef Gyoza. Everything was delicious. Fish was super fresh and everything was very fairly priced. Staff was super welcoming and attentive. So happy that this place is right down the street from me... Will definitely be back! The place is on the smaller side, so I definitely suggest making a reservation if you're coming for dinner. The ambience is great, love what they did with the decor; feels more intimate. It looks completely different than what was there prior.
