Sushi Ato

I can’t believe I’m saying this as someone who grew up in CA/NYC and spent many childhood summers in Asia, but sushi in CO Springs kinda slaps!! I’ve been to a couple places now and have been so very pleasantly surprised by the sushi quality and price! And Sushi Ato is no exception. I really enjoyed my lunch here! I dined by myself so only got the Everest Roll, salmon nigiri, and ikura. The star was the salmon—super fatty and flavorful with BIG pieces. The Everest roll was also yummy. Not traditional sushi by any means, but the escolar was so buttery melt-in-your-mouth and the jalapeño added a refreshing kick. Beware: as I didn’t order too many other dishes, the spiciness BUILT UP. The ikura was tasty as well but a tad on the salty side with less umami richness. I’ve had better. Overall

Our server Dylan was really great! It was our first time and he was very patient and well informative. We were celebrating my mother's birthday and will definitely be coming back on a regular basis. She had the crusted Salmon and said it was delicious. I added the bento to mine and it was so much food! This place came highly recommended and I'm glad we went.

I visited based on a recommendation, but the sushi rice was dry and unpleasantly crunchy, and I’m not sure the other dishes were worth the high prices. We ordered a variety of items expecting a great experience, but I was very disappointed, especially considering we traveled from afar. I won’t be coming back.

Sushi Ato is a great place to grab drinks or some of your favorite sushi rolls! Make sure you try the “Colorado Roll” or the “Super Spider Roll”. Everything is super fresh, great ingredients and the service was fast. Free miso soup while you’re waiting and all drinks were awesome. Great for date night, family dinner or lunch with friends.

First experience eating here and it was great! From being greeted at the door to the very attentive waiter, we were very pleased with the service. All the usual items are available along with many unique options providing something for everyone. The ingredients were fresh and the flavor combinations creative. I look forward to eating here again soon!
