Surreal Global Kitchen

So I decided to celebrate my 25th birthday at Surreal Global Kitchen, and it was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the food and drinks to the décor and the staff, everything was absolutely incredible. They truly made the night feel so special for me and my friends. We had a few guests with food allergies, and even though we were a large group, every dish came out on time, perfectly cooked, and prepared with great care and attention to those allergies. The manager, Andrea, came to our table several times to make sure I was having a wonderful birthday. She even surprised me with a complimentary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. If you’re thinking about trying this restaurant, I can’t recommend it enough. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!

After reading the reviews on Google, we made a reservation, expecting a memorable night — and it truly was, but unfortunately not in a good way.!! The pizza was surprisingly bad with a chewy cheese, the Chinese Caribbean salad was full of sauce, and the Caesar salad although was very low quality. I really believe reviews are subjective; everything depends on the reviewer’s experience, taste, knowledge, and “standards”!! So when I saw people praising the pizza, it made me wonder a lot about the reviewers — or maybe a different chef prepared theirs. You can definitely go and try it for yourself, but none of the four of us will be returning, not even to give it a second chance.

We had a great dining experience today. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Our server was very attentive from the moment we arrived, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal. The drink we ordered was excellent—well balanced and full of flavor. On top of that, the manager came by our table to check on us, which we really appreciated. Overall, outstanding service and amazing food. We will definitely be coming back!

We stopped in for an early Saturday dinner at Surreal Global Kitchen in Arlington, VA, and it turned out to be a great choice. The atmosphere is excellent—inviting, modern, and stylish with both indoor and outdoor seating that feels warm and energetic without being loud. I really loved the open kitchen concept, which adds a cool, lively vibe as you can watch the chefs at work. There’s also a small café inside, with baked goods and drinks. I ordered the Margherita Pizza and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crispy from the first bite to the last slice, which is rare to find. The tomato sauce tasted incredibly fresh, and the burrata cheese was rich and creamy—definitely high-quality ingredients. If I had one small comment, it would be that there was a little too much olive oil,

Wow!!!! I was a bit skeptical to dine here as there was some negative reviews recently… but I went in with open mind and left here completely satisfied! The food was very high quality, and delicious. Our server Christian, was attentive, kind and accommodating. He also educated us really well on the menu and the manager Andrea (who was very sweet & helpful too) came by and shared strong suggestions for what to try on the menu as well. Due to their suggestions, we went with the ceviche platter, arroz chaufa, and the shrimp pizza which were all super good. The dessert we had was the dessert cocktail lemon cloud!!! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!! Thank you to the staff at Surreal for providing us with this lovely experience!
