La Posada Crystal City

Enjoyed our food which was unlike any other Mexican restaurant we’ve been to. The queso was thick and paired with tortillas. We made little cheese tacos out of it. The salsas were tasty with the pico have a little heat at the end. Dining area was clean and colorful with good music. Service was lacking to start but ended well. We arrived and received chips and salsa shortly after. The next time someone came to our table was 25 minutes later when we flagged them down. It seemed like the waiter was unaware we were in his section because he passed us many times to take care of other tables. Once we asked for drinks, he was responsive and helpful.

You won’t be disappointed with ANYTHING on this menu. Everything was fresh and really good. The portion sizes are great, and everything is well seasoned. I’m still thinking about the flavor on the steak. It honestly put me straight into a food coma. I only woke up to eat the rest of my leftovers before going back to bed. 😅

La Posada recently opened, and they are already operating like seasoned pros. I’ve eaten my way through a lot of breakfast menus, and the execution here is flawless. The "Must-Orders" (Trust me on these): 🥞 The Churro Waffle: The star of the show. It’s genuinely crispy and cinnamon-sugary on the outside (just like a real churro) but fluffy inside. Pro Tip: Split this with the table; it is huge. 🍔 Ranchero Brisket Burger: This is a messy, delicious masterpiece. The egg yolk drip over the brisket is exactly what you want it to be. 🥩 Steak & Eggs: Hard to find a place that nails a medium-rare steak at 10 AM, but they did. Juicy, perfectly seasone

I Went With Shrimp Tacos & Added Sliced Avocado For A Small Upcharge. TACOS 🌮 🍤 Came Topped With Onions And Cilantro & Served With Two Sides Of Hot Sauce. Flavorful & Straightforward. Personally, Next Time I’d Ask For Flour Tortillas Since I’m Not A Big Fan Of Corn Tortillas But Still A Solid Deal For The Price. FREE NACHOS & HOUSEMADE SALSAS A Nice Bonus! The Nachos & Housemade Salsas Were Delicious & A Great Way To Start The Meal. GUAVA AQUA FRESCA 🍹 So Good…. Refreshing, Flavorful, & Only Under $4, Which Is A Win. Great Service All Around! The Manager & Bartender/Server Were Helpful, Attentive, & Consistent About Checking In To Make Sure I Was Good.

This place is fantastic. Very fresh and well prepared Mexican food. Upscale with a nice range from normal taco fare to more high end entrees. Rivals some of the great Mexican meals I’ve had in California and Arizona, which is a high bar. Very friendly staff. A fun and social environment. Ate here twice on a 4 day visit.
