Surfin Betty’s Burger Bar

I'm giving this place 5-stars because there is so much to love and an incredible amount of effort put in here for families to have a great lunch and dinner experience after a long day at the beach - specifically the awesome shake combinations (cinnamon toast & berry blast shakes to name a few) and Mexican colas/blueberry, vanilla cream & orange sodas. The service and atmosphere here is also fantastic. The woman who took my order and worked the register also stopped what she was doing to come to my table to bring me my shake first right when it was ready, and then made a second trip to my table once the burger was ready. Everytime I have eaten inside this place I always seem to have the same experience. Very nice people and service, but terrible overpriced food. I tried to give it many chances but today was the last time I order from there. I ordered plenty of different food items and they all are not worth the money. I door dashed today and wanted some high quality tenders. I figured how can you mess up chicken tenders? Not only is this place expensive, so is DoorDash, so I was really hoping it would be worth it. Anyways, it came and when I opened my box, there is some weird black goo/sludge all over my food. Something with the oil? I don’t know. And no it’s not burnt pieces. Super good, can’t get enough of it, had to comeback the next day for another burger. I mean where can you get a pasture-raised burger that been dry age for 3 weeks? It had a lil funky you expected from dry age, very beefy, juicy and tender. Very rare! Love this place, atmosphere was normal but hey, you there just for the burger right? Highly recommended.

We tried Surfin Betty’s for the first time today & they did NOT disappoint! I LOVED the burger tacos! I’m hoping next time I come they’ll try something special for me. A local place in Elkton, MD makes these, but they cook the raw burger on the tortilla & it’s a GAME CHANGER!!! That’s the ONLY thing that could possibly need changed on these amazing tacos! We’ll definitely be back to try some more of their amazing sounding menu!

Took a drive over to Surfin Betty's in Bethany for lunch. We're always on the lookout for a good burger and chicken sandwich and they did not disappoint. Service was wonderful...super helpful, patient and friendly. Present for anything we needed and just all around great. Atmosphere is good, lots of 90's music, multiple tvs showing different sports programs. Plenty of seating, most of it high tops. I can see how it could get pretty crowded and loud in here during the busy months though, as the tables are close together. Now lets get to the food. We both got the BYO (build-your-own)...one burger, one chicken, fries and onion rings. The food came out very quickly and was hot and fresh. Rings and fries were not greasy at all...nice and crispy.
