Surfers Point dunes

My wife and I had just gotten into town and decided to walk down to the beach from downtown Ventura. It was an easy walk and worth it. It was early February and was cool out and eventually rained on us. Otherwise we watched what little of a sunset that we could and found the spot very pretty and worth the walk.

Surfers Point dunes is a nice relaxing place to unwind for the day. Look West for an amazing sunset above the water, and explore the amazing scenery by the pond, or the various assortment of rocks scattered along the beach. I'd be careful swimming there as it is extremely rocky, but there are beautiful rock sculptures to admire! Be careful, they can be a bit slippery!

This is the actual surfers point and it's a total scene, whether kitesurfers or groms or dirtbags just doing their thing.

Beautiful place! I am from south OC and would love to have a place like this by us. It was a little hard to get to because of construction but don’t hesitate to go visit. The weather was great in July I bet it gets a little chilly during fall and winter.

Heaven on earth. The sea meets the point. Nice waves when storms are near. Beautiful sand dunes. Erosion from global warming is very evident. So sad to see over several years
