Surf City Bay Beach

Always nice going here with the kids. It can get crowded around the evening for people wanting to watch the sunset. Other than that it's usually not busy at all with kids able to swim in the bay comfortably. Doing four stars because today when we went there was a lot of seaweed where the kids usually go swimming. So there was only certain places they could enter the water at. Other than that, no complaints

Love this place. Very easy to go to with kids. Even better my son can play in the water without the waves.

Amazing views of the Bay from the bridge to the lighthouse. Great place to bring the little kids to go for a swim. The area is fenced in and protected by lifeguards during the summer from 10 a. M. Till 5 p. M. In the evenings it's a great place to catch the sunset. There's a gazebo and plenty of benches to sit down. Also for the kids there are swings and a basketball court. Other facilities include a picnic area, a shower and a spigot to wash your hands and feet off. Plenty of parking is also available. And during the summer I like ice cream trucks often drive up for refreshments.

Great for the little kids. No more than waist deep for an adult. Wear your sand shoes; it's a bit pebbly for the first few yards and then patches of aquatic plants here and there. Fun to check out underwater creatures like hermit crabs, little fishes, jellies, clams, etc.
