Surf Bagel Midway

I love this bagel shop. The bagels were delicious!!! The staff are friendly and helpful. There are many bagel flavors, cream cheese flavors, and coffee to chose from! I loved all the variety this shop offered. They also sell cream cheese containers to go. The jalapeño cream cheese was really good - not spicy. The bagels were soft. The cream cheese was soft and creamy. We also tried the breakfast burrito which was good as well! Next time I would order less peppers, but that is a personal choice. Overall this is a delicious spot to try for breakfast!

Reasonable prices and a great variety of bagels. Good variety of coffee options too, but there are plenty of coffee shops in the area. Not too many places where you can get an actual bagel (compared to some places where they think a roll with a hole in the middle is a bagel).

Ordered breakfast burrito, specified no onions twice. Ended up covered in onions. Waste of $10. Threw it straight in the garbage. They just 100% ignore any modifications on your order. Won’t be going back.

Do I talk about the food or the service first? They are both equally great so it’s a tough call. Let’s go with service though. I typically order ahead via their website. When I walk in, most of the staff knows me, and they quickly hand me my order and I am out the door about as fast as I walked in. Yes, this is a relatively small town and it’s not hard to learn who your repeat customers are, but they do it with a smile and smiles are contagious in the mornings. It’s a great way to start off your day. So I really appreciate it. I am a bit of a creature of habit, meaning I get the same thing just about every time. The food is always perfect and as expected. Great bagels! I would recommend ordering via the Locals App (Toast) just to skip lines. Egg bagel was super soft and vegetarian options are available.
