Sunset Family Restaurant

I visited for the first time in 40 years. My family used to go alot when I was a child. They renovated the bathrooms Everything things else is about the same. The food seems homemade. The salad bar seemed fresh and well taken care of. The service was very interesting, almost too casual and unorganized. Seems like an older person's diner. Atleast on my visit. Of course I visited on Halloween so that may not be the usual clientele. Worth a try if you're looking for an old school diner.

Have lived in the area for 20 years and never stopped in. We have it a try today and I was impressed. Yes the decor is a bit dated. Yes, the clientele seems older. Who cares! The service was excellent, the food was very good and I was amazed at how affordable everything was. My wife had a very tasty chicken sandwhich and I had a double cheeseburger. Both meals came with fries and the bill was $26! Someone mentioned that they felt the service was too casual. That is one of the things I liked. They present themselves a family restaurant with good home cooking and I thought the service matched up with that vibe perfectly. Will be back.

Food was good, large portions and the price was right. Good service as well. Only thing wa the food itself was a little bland but as I told my brother who was eating with me I assume (and from what I saw) their clientele is probably on the older side and do not prefer 'spicy' meals. Would not stop me from eating there again

I was greeted quickly told I could take a seat never been here before. wanted some breakfast called ahead they said they were still serving. I ordered a ham and bacon croissant sandwich which was very good however my American fries I asked extra crispy and they were barely Brown most of them were white. I told the waitress about them and she did nothing And said nothing and started talking to other customers. I got a glass of water with lemon was never asked if I wanted more water when my food was delivered. As I was getting up to leave and pay my bill, my waitress asked me if I wanted a glass of water, I said no thank you I am leaving now I would like my bill so she got it for me; tried charging me full price and I refused to pay the full price. They took $2.00 off of my bill. Some loc
