Sunrise Donuts

One of the very best donut shops in town. I recently stopped at Shipley do nuts on MacArthur Street and let me say that this small mom and pop shop completely blows away Shipley. The breakfast sandwiches are made with real egg, real bacon, and real cheese. Plus they are full sized sandwiches.

I stopped there once a week on my way to work. And never had much problems. Until one day an older lady was in the KITCHEN which is open and you can see picking at her toe nails with no shoes on. I politely told the lady that was making my coffee that is not sanitary and she got very rude and argumentative defending this older lady picking her toes. It wasn’t the incident that stopped me from coming back. It was the rudeness instead of being apologetic that lost my business. Edit: since they hid my words so others won’t know what they allow to go on in the kitchen I’ll just lower my stars.

I stopped here a few months ago to get my daughter some donut holes... You know they are terrible when you're 7 year old nonverbal autistic child loves donut holes but she threw every donut hole I gave her to the floor. When we got home I tried one and her grandmother also tried one.... Come to find out they were RAW... GET IT TOGETHER🤮

I just encountered, a very hostile experience, here at this donut shop, on Western Avenue, in West Orange... I could see the guy moving boxes & other items, had to wait for him to come to the front, when he did, I noticed he didn't attempt to wash his hands, reached for the tongs, which he dropped on the floor. I asked, if he was going to wash his hand & replace the tongs, he just looking at me, then rudely, asked if I wanted something, I informed him of his rudeness & unsanitary manners. He very loudly told me "to go, get out, I don't care... GET OUT!" Definitely a BIG MISTAKE!

It’s the best time for me to get fresh donut 6am. I love sunrise I’ll see you everyday.
