Sunrise Bakery

Great place to visit when you are coming to South Padre Island. Arrive early as pastries do sell out. There is a great selection of unique and Delicious Pastries which are a must have along side a delicious cup of coffee. All syrups for coffee are made in house. The staff is very passionate when explains their brewing process and are really friendly.

I came back here every day for my week long stay in SPI. You can see the bakers making all the things. The service is friendly and we’re so sweet to my kiddo who was loving all the food we bought. We tried the almond croissant, pistachio croissant, Italian bread sandwich breakfast goodness thing, banana bread, and cheese danish. Alll sooooo good. Their sandwiches and all the food is made day of. I can’t wait to try the scones next! Definitely a must have.

Nice happy people. Good coffee. Clean establishment. Crazy prices. $12 dollar cinnamon roll was just okay not stellar. My wife makes better cinnamon rolls. I was a little shock at the $36+ cost for our visit. The best thing we got there were the 5 for $3 chocolate chip cookies. We ordered coffee. It was also tasty. As for the other baked items, I’m not impressed. For the record I am not dazzled by Starbucks either. Chances are good that I don’t fit into their target market. This stop was disappointing.

Interesting experience this morning (Feb 14th). First time in shop, didnt know where to stand to order, but once we got our bearings, the food was really great. They advertised Scone filled with fruit, but only actually had Jalepeno & Cheddar, so I chose the monstrous Cinnamon roll instead, and boy was it awesome...I could only eat half 🙂

They have a couple of tables if you want to eat there, but looks like most ppl just pick up. Their pistachio eclair was decadent and their jalapeno cheddar scone was good.
