I ordered the Oxtails and Curry goat entrees from the Jamaican Cuisine restaurant today for 23 dollars each. All of the food was nasty, and, I will never order food from this restaurant again. I ordered food from this Jamaican restaurant before and the food was good and it was seasoned right. Today the food was either so spicy that it burned my mouth, or so sweet that it would give you diabetes. The new cook needs to learn how to season the food right. All the food Jamaican food portions that i tired was too spicy or too sweet that I could not eat the food. I defiantly did not get enough meat for what I paid for. The Jamaican food at this restaurant is over priced, and nasty.
We brought a curry goat plate and oxtail plate. They served the driest oxtails I have ever had. Who serves oxtails that is not wet from its own juices. This restaurant cook everything with sugar. Mac n cheese, oxtails, cabbage all had too much sugar. Why is sugar even in the mac or cabbage?? Not a place I would fancy.
I was very very disappointed in the serving size. Although the taste was good I was given a table spoon full of curry goat. At most Jamaican restaurants they show you the plate before they close it. I should have known it was a problem when I was just handed a bag. Also it was very hot in the restaurant; it was 90 degrees outside and felt like 100 degrees inside the restaurant. The curry goat was $22 and I left a $5.80 tip; yes I paid $28 for a spoon full of curry goat. I will never go back to this restaurant at all. I was truly robbed of my money.
extremely disappointing. i spent about $23 on very small portions. jerk chicken was was okay. I got an extra side of mac and cheese that was an upcharge of $3. i asked if they could put it in a separate container and they said no. I explained that i didn’t want my food touching because i had a lot of sizes but they still said no. when i got my food, they put everything in one container. all over the place. i asked them again politely to put my side of the side and this is what she gave me. a small sauce container of mac and cheese. it’s like they’re being stingy with their food.
I had the curry oxtail. Delicious! It was seasoned well and a little spicy. Just the way I like it! The oxtails were a little on the small size but overall it was all good.
