Sun Prairie Historical Museum

I went to this museum on November 6th and the staff member (curator?) Sunshine was so helpful and they showcased some beautiful painted textile vests with stories inside them. The Museum also has relevant children's activities for the exhibit where kids had drawn patterns on paper cut to look like vests. It's clear that the experts working for the museum have displayed the history of Sun Prairie in a respectful way and also found a way to showcase other collections to keep it fresh and relevant. Keep up the great work!

A great place to learn about Sun Prairie history and how wonderfully this place is expanding over the years. We loved the part of Georgia o’keeffe and saw her amazing paintings. My kids loved the game with the ball which they played for long time. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and make it a nice place to come over again and again. Thank you Linda and the beautiful lady, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name, in taking the time and effort to show us the place and to learn about our culture as well. Above all, thanks for offering all of this for free 🙂

Small museum but very interesting. The curator did a great job and very knowledgeable. I'm glad we took the time to visit.

Walking tour was great. Joe and Jen were awesome tour guides. After, we stepped inside the museum which had a couple of nice exhibits.

We had such a nice time at the Sun Prairie Historical Museum. My child learned a lot about the history of Sun Prairie and so did I. We are looking forward to visiting again sometime.
