Sumo Japanese Steakhouse

We recently dined here for dinner and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, our waitress was very good. She was attentive and knowledgeable, and when we asked about the Papaya Seafood dish (we were specifically looking for the papaya), she explained that many customers do not like papaya, so the restaurant removed it from the dish and now only uses the sauce. While that was not indicated on the menu, the dish itself still tasted good, and we appreciated her clear explanation. Most of the food overall was decent and enjoyable. We ordered the hibachi filet and shrimp, avocado roll, California roll, miso soup, and spring roll. Everything was prepared well and met expectations for a casual Japanese restaurant. This place has consistently been amazing every time we have come! The food is always amazing, the service is always great, the chefs are top tier watching them work. This is one of our favorite spots!

So many choices for all dietary options. Very good prices and friendly staff. They did balloon art like animals and hearts 💕. They did a good juggling act. The hibachi is amazing to watch being cooked. A great place to go.

It was so much fun watching the Chef performance of utensils skills,cooking & personality right before us. We had Benny serve us & he was an absolute delight!!

Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our experience here! Thank you for making my daughter's birthday extra special & for showing the joy of what you all do in your service. We'll def be back to enjoy the amazing food again soon!!
