Summer Salt

This is a very cute family owned place. Amazing views of the ocean from the patio and excellent service. It’s BYOB! The ingredients are fresh and all the dishes are decent. My problem, is that none of the dishes stood out and nobody liked deserts. So much potential here and I truly wish they live up to it.

My husband and I came in recently for a romantic date night and Summer Salt sure did not disappoint! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food! It was so special. The owner, Heather came out and talked with us and gave us suggestions on which mains to pick based on our preferences and explained all the dishes so perfectly. She treated us like we were the only customers giving us a lot of time and attention, making us feel special. Her husband- the chef really uses the freshest ingredients and pairs the flavors together so well! EVERYTHING was so good! We especially enjoyed the summer fritter, tomato salad, peach and burrata! We also loved our mains "barnegat light fresh catch" which was sting ray and the "severino radiatori" which was crab pasta with a tomato cream sauce. So tasty! Our desser

I had the vegan tasting menu and it was unreal. One of the best vegan restaurant experiences I have ever had. All of the vegan options were super similar to the regular menu so it was fun to enjoy all of the courses with others! The peaches and burrata* (dairy free and made from whole ingredients) was unreal. I asked them for the recipe after to make at home. Honestly everything was incredible and I can't wait to go back. Love a place that embraces seasonal recipes with to farm to table ingredients. They are super responsive on email as well if you have any specific questions. Can't recommend this place enough.

Connor and Heather have done it again; turning amazing fresh local ingredients into world class meals. Elegant and refined yet somehow reminiscent of grandma's cooking. They have curated the most amazing dinner experience, everything from the comfy intimate dining areas to the employees who clearly love what they are doing. Each element carefully and thoroughly thought out. the attention to detail and special touches they add to every experience is truly remarkable. forever mine and my husband's favorite spot while visiting.
