Bagels on the menu but was told I had to have my sandwich on "panini bread" turns out panini bread is just the same bread I eat at home. Bacon was very fatty, there may have even been ham in my sandwich? Some of the back was like warm, definitely not prepared same day not a fresh egg. Also got a scone, that is as good, but definitely not a scone. Coffee was good. Cost me $18.58+$2 tip. Too much money for the quality you get.
On our road-trip farewell to Maine — heading from Acadia toward West Virginia with a lunch stop in Bath — we pulled into Sterlingtown Bakehouse for what we swore was just a bathroom break. Famous last words. The pastry case whispered sweet nothings to us and we simply could not leave empty-handed. The pastries? Delicious — flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with love (and butter, lots of butter). The latte hit the spot, though it could have used just a little more kick — let’s just say it leaned more “gentle good morning” than “wake-up-we’re-driving-800-miles-today.” Service was very friendly, the shop itself is charming and quaint, and honestly, if you’re passing by, go ahead and surrender to the pastry case. Resistance is futile and your taste buds will thank you.
Sterlingtown Bakehouse is one of those places that instantly makes you want to stay longer than you planned. We both ordered maple lattes with oat milk and they were absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced, lightly sweet, and really comforting without being overpowering. You could taste the quality of the coffee underneath the maple, which is always a good sign. The service was genuinely great — friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being rushed. On top of that, the inside is incredibly cute and cozy, almost straight out of a Hallmark movie. It’s the kind of place that makes a simple coffee stop feel like a whole little experience. If you’re anywhere nearby in Maine, this is a must-stop.
I've been by this place and finally tried it! It's got a very comfortable atmosphere, with lots of seating. I could definitely see myself coming back to work in the morning. The coffee is good, with lots of options. I got the basic Americano. For food, I got the Breakfast sandwich. It was really good and very filling. I want to come back and try there lunch sandwichs too. The staff were very friendly. The parking can be a little bit chaotic being right next to the grocery store. Overall will definitely be coming back!
Stopped in over the weekend.. super cute place with some seating inside and outside. Loved the atmosphere there 😁 I tried their BBQ sandwich and cold brew. So delicious 👌🏼
