Sterling Public Library is such a wonderful place to visit. The staff is always friendly and ready to help, whether it’s finding a book or learning about their digital services. The building itself is beautiful, spacious, and very well kept. It feels like the kind of place where you can relax, read, and feel part of the community.

Since moving into this area in 1983, it's been my pleasure and honor to visit the Sterling Public Library. There's something available for everyone, old and young. They keep creating new ideas and projects for all of us. There's a Friday morning Book Club on the 2nd Friday of each month, which since I stated attending has grown every month. There's a lot of readers out there and I'm glad to be a part of this group. There's also a Bible Study group that meets on the same Friday, which seems to be only limited to one set of women. As it's my understanding that these women would consider themselves Christians; apparently, there's a few holes in their Christian beliefs. Throughout my visits to this Library, their staff and director have always shown respect and are very accommodating to their

Library is Wonderful but the Librarians show Indifference to the needs of the Patrons I’ve been going here since I was a kid. We are very fortunate to have a such a beautiful and well funded library in our town. Today, however, three librarians were unable to help me in an urgent situation. I lost my phone on my way to the library and three employees decided not to help me out by letting me make a phone call. I understand why there could be a policy, not because they explained to me why there is a policy (I was just told I couldn’t use the phone) - but my taxpayer money funds the library. I made a comment about how strict the policy was and the response was “yeah most places are”. As a citizen accessing a public facility an allowance should have been made. Libraries are a vital resour

We've been going to the Sterling public library for about 20 years and we love it! My now grown sons loved going there as kids as they have a fabulous kid's floor downstairs with all the kids books and lots of toys and train tables and now they have electronics for the kids to use in computers and DVD's they can check out And all the kids that I've ever place. it's also great for their growing minds and characters As they have to learn to use and develop a quote library voice. Lol. They can talk in the regular voices downstairs they just can't be loud or scream or run which is nice! LOL. I would recommend this library almost any library To parents of young children as it is great for their growing minds. 😊🙏🏽

The main reason why I give this rating 3 out of 5 stars are the hours: they are very limited, only Mon-Fri, 10-5. On the tech side of the library, there, too, it's pretty limited. You only get 1 hr on the computers, yet it takes 10 mins for the login process and for apps like Chrome and Word to load. However, you can ask for more time if you let them know well before your time expires. Regardless, the computers kick you off 10 mins before the library closes. And then, one day, when I really needed to print something, the printer didn't work. Other than the tech side of the library, the employees are friendly and helpful. They ordered a book for me from across the state. They have a nice video selection. The library is quiet, warm and clean. All said, I urge them to extend their hours to 7
