Customer Reviews
Don Pedro’s have changed their taco salad which was my favorite. Now they offer beef chicken or garden. The old taco salad use to have a chili in it plus plenty of nacho chips. The new beef taco salad does NOT have the chili instead they’ve switched it to refried beans (yuck in a salad) & rice plus about 3 chips crumbled on top. When I asked if the chips could be on the side (like I use to) I was told they would have to charge me for a side of chips for $2.99. Plus my husband got the chicken nachos and instead of the shredded chicken it’s just cut into chunks. Extremely disappointed in this new twist in an old favorite. Not sure if I’ll be going back.
After my visit at Don Pedros, I was quite impressed and very surprised. The service here was amazing, quick but not rushed. The restaurant was slow, so Abbey and Jasmine (the two girls working) kept a subtle conversation making my visit and wait enjoyable. I was surprised because you don’t have this kind of service around much anymore, these girls deserve a raise! Will definitely be coming back!
First off this isn’t an authentic Mexican restaurant,Not even close. I asked for carne asada and they don’t do steak.Strike 1. A taco salad is supposed to be in deep fried tortilla bowl.Stike 2. Very little ground beef and rice but all lettuce.Strike 3. Coming from Chicago 3yrs ago only other place I have eaten Mexican was in Dixon which was garbage also. Get a clue Don Pedro, your not even close to Real Mexican food , just embarrassing.
We were out and about and decided to go get food somewhere and go eat at the park since we hadn't been to Don Pedro's for many years we thought we'd give it a try. We went inside to order to avoid the long drive thru line. The menu is extensive with the standard tex-mex fare like nachos, tacos and burritos. The food prep area was a huge mess with cheese, vegetables and what not all over the counter and floor. The Nachos were outstanding but the tacos were just ok. I ordered an iced tea but it was soured so I had to pour it out and when I told the girls behind the counter they should probably dump it, wash the container and spout then replace the tea one girl just rolled her eyes the others just said oh. The girl who took our order was very friendly and super helpful however she was the on
Employees attitudes stinks. More concerned about drive thru orders, refilling food containers and talking between employees than customer service. When I approached the counter about my chips and cheese sitting for several minutes and my taco not being ready her comment was “It’s only been 8 minutes!” Crappy service!!!!
