Steel & Rye in Milton is one of those rare spots that feels both stylish and comfortably familiar the moment you walk in. The atmosphere blends warm lighting, industrial charm, and a relaxed neighborhood energy, making it perfect for everything from a casual morning visit to a lively brunch with friends. Their breakfast options are consistently excellent, with fresh pastries, soft-scrambled eggs, and creative dishes that strike the perfect balance between comfort and craft. The drinks are just as impressive, whether you're stopping in for a honey-lavender latte or unwinding later with one of their well-made cocktails. Every sip and every plate feels intentional, fresh, and thoughtfully put together. Steel & Rye delivers a consistently great experience, making it a must-visit for anyone in
We had a great dinner experience. The hosts were welcoming and friendly as soon as we walked in. It is a large place with an upbeat atmosphere. There were only 2 TV’s so maybe not great if you’re looking to go watch games. Our server, Nelly, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The drink menu was semi limited so we asked what they could do for mezcal drinks. The bartender whose name is escaping me, came over to the table and walked us through different drinks she could make. It was truly impeccable service. The food was excellent. For apps we got the chips and roasted peppers. For dinner we chose the gemelli lamb dish and the swordfish which were both exceptional. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Oysters were flavorful, fresh and nice. Serve really showed knowledge and was great at giving recommendations. Arugula salad had just the right sear on the chicken. The mousse tart was pretty good with an espresso (decaf beans were a little acidic with some saltiness at the end). I would come back to try the brunch menu.
We had a group for lunch/brunch and the server was fabulous. I totally understand with a large group, the logistics and different personalities can be a bit much. 5 stars for the service but the food was very lackluster. Food was severely under-seasoned but if you like unseasoned food, this is the place to go. Not one person out of our group enjoyed the food, it was all just okay. The espresso martini was delightful. I wouldn’t go back unless someone else specifically wanted to go.
Really impressive range: fresh baked breads, expansive wine and spirits, coffee and tea (I had MEM Matcha with pistachio milk), and everything from pizza, to wings, to salads, to burgers. The decor is fabulous and there is indoor and outdoor seating. My drink was nearly $8, so def not a “come here for your morning commute” place, but I would absolutely come for dinner again. The foccoccia pizza with cloves of garlic in the crust was phenomenal. There is one handicapped spot. Sadly the others are covered with the outdoor seating, but I was the only one who needed the spot so lucky me!
