Steamer's Restaurant & Catering

We wandered off of I-26 into downtown Clinton and stumbled upon this wonderful local restaurant. We were greeted by the friendly staff among what was obviously the local diners, including some of the local firefighters. My wife’s hamburger was clearly handmade and fresh. My hot dogs were as good as I have eaten in many years. The French fries were hot and crispy and the slaw was cold and creamy. The dessert list looked very good, but we just didn’t have any more room for any. We are always looking for good local restaurants, and this is one of the best places we have found. Stop in. You won’t be disappointed!

What can I say? Has to be the best cheeseburger I've had. My wife and I like to find these older places to have a good burger. We have found quite a few awesome burgers. But this is our favorite. Sometimes they may be out of an item, but then again I'm there for the burger. Almost always a double, sometimes a triple occasionally the Boomer a 4 patty.

We needed a break from driving but not too long of a break. So we stopped for lunch here and i was so surprised. With the confederate statue out front i was nervous my husband might have issues or at the least some odd stares but it was fine! The staff was so friendly! And the food! I really want expecting much but pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality. Loved the shrimp and burger. Skip hush puppies though. No bueno.

If you happen to be in the area, definitely make Steamer's a stop. Great service, good variety of menu options, good prices, large portions, good small-town/ home-cooked food, cute little town. We parked right in front of the restaurant, but the streets are a little wonky, so if you have a longer vehicle, you may want to park across the street. Loved our lunch experience and would recommend it.

I must say, we have been trying our best to try this place for months. We also decide too late and they are either closed or closing. Today was our lucky day! We loved the old pictures that adorned the walls! Very nostalgic atmosphere and we felt like we took a trip back on time. The food was very good! Finally crispy fries!!! So tired of under cooked soggy fries. My biggest compliment goes to the staff! Extremely attentive and friendly! By far the best service, locally we have had in a long time! They came over frequently to see if we needed anything. Refilled our glasses with asking. Burgers cooked to perfection. Great way to end a Friday! As you can see we ate it all!
