Steak 'n Shake

Just got our food about an hour ago and our fries were still white and hard. They were not even cooked and are super soggy. It cost $37 for my meal and for 2 orders of fries to be undercooked is unacceptable.

This is nothing against the people that work at this location. The food was great and was hot and the people working were fast and did a good job. However since this is a get your own drinks and refills scan the barcode system I have discovered a problem with the Steak and shake scan for drinks system. Apparently you are only allowed 1 (ONE) refill on the $3 fountain drink that you purchased. I could understand the Barcode only being good for an hour so that someone can't hold on to the ticket and come back by hours later for a refill but I had refilled my drink before our food was ready ( I was thirsty today) I went to refill my cup a second time before leaving as my cup was empty after eating and found out from an employee that you only get one refill. So be fairwarned don't go to

Ordering I only by kiosk is goofy. Food was decent. But let the service reflect the price. Stop asking for tips and make food cheaper if you want me to do everything. The scanning the receipt for a drink was ridiculous. I used to love steak n shake.

The general manager is very rude and unprofessional I do not recommend anybody to go through the drive-thru definitely if she is the one very unprofessional she was trying to hand me my food I said one second cuz I was finishing up a phone number text message so I went into the store and requested a refund on my food she sent a lower manager out to speak with me and when I requested to speak with the GM was informed she was the GM she wasted her energy to open the window as I was pulling off to say something else to me

You have to order from a screen , get your own drink , walk up to counter when your food is ready and then they ask for a tip. Here’s a tip. You are losing customers ( me) because this is silly.
