Steak 'n Shake

This will be our go to food with kids. Affordable, fast and has shakes! The burgers are delicious, easy to eat and flavorful.

Loud music, little to no customers, seemingly old food. Came and picked up a take out order on a Monday afternoon. The music outside the restaurant and in the lobby was so loud I felt like I was shouting to talk to the cashier. Booth seats were ripped and the restaurant was almost a ghost town. I figured, if they’re not busy at least my food would be fresh. This wasn’t the case, the fries I once loved tasted stale and old. The burgers were thick and lacked the classic steak burger flavor I’ve known Steak ‘n Shake for. The only items that were on par with my expectations were ice cream. If you’re looking for a burger and shoestring fries, you’re better off at Freddy’s or McDonald’s.

Food was decent, the dining room and what we could see of the kitchen appears not to have been cleaned since it was built. Dirt on the ceilings lights and blinds. Floor was sticky as well

We stopped in Steak and Shake in Sedalia Missouri. It was about 6pm. Not very busy. An employee was having her order taken. Myself and another customer waited about 15 minutes before she finished. Tons of employees standing around. The Food was OK. I went into the men's bathroom. It was disgusting. Lots of trash on the floor in the lobby. I was very disappointed. This is a beautiful restaurant from the outside.

Our party arrived on a night of the local college graduation. The cashier told us they were having trouble in the kitchen and we're behind by about 20 orders. Several parties quickly dispersed. Some of our party had already received their food, so the rest of us stuck around until we could place our orders. Shortly thereafter the same cashier started taking orders. When the food eventually came out they gave us another party's order. One of our party had lifted the top bun on his sandwich and noticed it wasn't what he ordered, which is when we realized it was the wrong order. When the food was taken up to the counter we informed the employee that one specific meal had already been touched by one of our party.
