My sister and cousin recently raved about this incredible bakery they discovered, especially praising the unparalleled freshness of their bread. Curious and eager to explore new food places and experiences, I decided to stop by while in the area. Wow, they were absolutely correct! The bread was nothing short of amazing. I was enchanted by the star bread, which arrived at my table piping hot and radiating warmth. Each bite was an indulgent delight, the taste and texture simply irresistible when savored right out of the oven. Unfortunately, living quite a distance from Poway makes frequent visits challenging. Still, I’m already planning my next trip, as I can't resist the allure of that delicious bread when I’m back in the neighborhood!
I had lunch in the plaza and noticed this newly opened Filipino bakery. Nobody was there when we entered the shop but eventually someone came from out back. Not much of a greeting. He took our orders and left quickly to go in the back. I picked up the ube mochi donut and a few of the prepackaged breads. Their beads are soft and have a nice sweetness to them. But there's hardly any fillings or differences in taste from one to the other. No seating inside or outside.
I was curious due to the rave reviews about their señorita bread. I’ve never had it before so i wasn’t able to compare. However, it’s nice that they were hot and fresh when I got them. They were smaller than the pictures I’ve seen. The bread was sweet and buttery, which might be good for others but too much sugar and butter for me. I also got cream cheese kind and they were ok. I would this is a good place near by for some Filipino treats if you are into them. It’s just not for me.
These little Senorita bread are so addicting. Once you pop, you can’t stop! We have been a fan of these when we discovered it in SF, happy that this location is opened in north county and not having to drive to Chula Vista. The size, shape and flavor depends on who is rolling and it’s made fresh to order. It’s rolled with honey butter glazed and when you take a bite, you get a tiny ooze of sweetness in every layer. Trust me, you’ll eat like 10 on your drive home before you make it to your destination. They also sell mochi donuts, malasadas, pan de Sal and other Senorita bread flavor like ube.
Easy parking. Easy order. When you order Spanish bread, they bring out ones that are fresh and hot from the back of the store and they were very gooe.
