Stanly Community College

I paid $2000 to take the nail technician program. We have to take state board examinations and one of the test requirements is a sealed product. The test itself is $80. We are given what the school supplies us with that comes in the kit we pay for. I get to the test site and they tell me what I have is not acceptable and another classmate had the same issue. The school is going to replace that item but will not repay for my test that I just lost out on $80 and a day at work. Ultimately it’s the schools fault that the items were not checked. We as students take what was given to us and it should have been checked by the teacher or whoever. We pack our state board box and don’t touch it until the day of the test. Now on to the rules. We had a girl in our class who would clock in and leave.

worst staff to help you with anything, my girlfriend was applying and she said they made filling out her fafsa almost impossible and they kept on giving her looks as if she was dumb. stay AWAY from this school the curriculums arent even that varied and they send your balance to collects A MONTH after completing a class which is absolutely incredible.

Avoid this school at all costs. I was in a terrible car accident, had multiple surgeries, and was in and out of the hospital. I physically and mentally couldn’t keep up with my classes, and because of that, I failed. The school knew what I was going through but still forced me to pay back my financial aid—something they never made explicitly clear upfront. Like, who in their right mind is thinking about financial aid policies while dealing with hospitalizations, infections, and surgeries? The teachers were useless. One of them (ACA 111) straight up told me, “You’re an adult, be responsible for your decisions,” as if I wasn’t recovering from major medical issues. The advisors? A joke. My assigned advisor, Garrett Allen, never reached out, and I had zero support navigating any of this. An

I was actually a student who who wore many hat's! I am a full time employee, proud mother of two, and successfully completed my Associate degree program online with Stanly. My professors and advisor were both attentive and understanding with any concerns I had. Furthermore, I was very well taken care of at this college. It was truly a wonderful experience and if they had a bachelor's program I would still be there now!

I would recommend Stanley Community College to anyone looking to further their education. I obtained my Associate’s Degree in 2015, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The staff was more than helpful and accommodating, and the instructors were knowledgeable and genuinely cared about the students in their classes.
