Stanley Baking Company & Café

We were on a road trip through Ponderosa Scenic Byway, through Sawtooth National forest and were looking for a local gem to get some coffee and breakfast. The original place we stopped had stopped serving breakfast and directed us to the Stanley Baking Cafe! Thank you for sending us! We LOVED it. I tried the oatmeal pancakes and was pleasantly surprised. They were so good!!! My husband got thr sourdough French toast. He thought they were great and raved over the sausage! We each had coffee. He had an Americano and I had a latte. They served them in real glass mugs which we appreciated! We even bought a home made snickerdoodle and it was almost at good as mine! The service was fantastic and the food even better. We recommend this place to anyone traveling through!

I've been known to plan entire travel itineraries just to be able to eat breakfast at Stanley Baking Company. Everything is so good. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is homey and welcoming.

The food at Stanley Bakery is absolutely delicious—worth the stop for sure. I had the egg and beet breakfast, and it was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done. The person who took my order was super friendly and greeted me graciously, which I appreciated right away. However, the service staff left something to be desired. Their energy felt cold and distant, almost like I was an inconvenience just for being there. It definitely took away from the otherwise cozy, mountain-town café vibe. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, which is a plus, but with temps over 90°F, more umbrellas or shade options would’ve made the experience more comfortable. Still, for the food alone, I’d recommend stopping in—just know the service may not match the warmth of the meal.

Happened upon this establishment. Busy place, rated 4.8. Well that was not our experience. Sourdough French toast chewy, thin cut. Classic had burnt hashbrowns, sausage was the best item. Waitress started clearing table before spouse finished chewing last bite. Did not ask if I was finished and just took the plate. If you want a refill better ask or they take your glass and don't come back. This will not be one to stop at again.

Best breakfast and coffee in all of Stanley! The Crag breakfast sandwich is the bomb! Everyone who works here is very friendly and accommodating and we were lucky enough to see Lily for breakfast after she had just served us dinner at the hotel the night before. Great place, get there early because the line starts around 9 AM and continues out into the street .
