Stagecoach House Inn

We had a nice stay at the inn this past weekend. We were looking for some down time locally and were happy to explore and relax in a different part of the state. Tim was very helpful at check in. Room was clean with a nice view of the lake. They have chairs and tables to relax in on the decks outside your room.

Stayed for 3 nights. The room was very clean, the view of the river from the back porch was beautiful and peaceful. We were late checking in the first night (stuck in the 95 north traffic) but called ahead and the front desk clerk stayed an hour late to make sure we got checked in and all set with the room. All in all a wonderful experience.

These 5 star reviews are a joke. Don’t trust them. This place is run down and needs to upgrade their rooms. The bed wasn’t comfortable, the pillows are cheap and linens were cheap. The tv is old and everything in that room was dusty. The decor is tacky and the bathroom had supermarket shopping bags. The breakfast consisted of two stale cereal selections and 1 or 2 baked goods from the supermarket. They try to push you to shop at their store. Cheesy things in there and used clothes for sale. The entire place is tacky and rundown.

Such a beautiful place to stay with wonderful rooms and history. Also when services are not up to par they alway go above and beyond to exceed customer satisfaction. Can’t wait to stay again… Stan and Jeanne

If there were less than a one star I would rate this hotel accordingly. IMHO Anyone who gives this place a 5 star rating has never been to a five star hotel! The owner Dave was rude, unprofessional and intimidating. It’s called the “hospitality business”for a reason. I had one of the 3 pet friendly outside rooms that had no access to the hotel lobby. My door opened to the gravel driveway. Between the car’s driving past and the wind, my room was so sandy and dusty I had to put a mat beside my bed to wipe my feet just to get into it. No housekeeper ever came. Not even once. I was told if I needed clean towels to put the soiled ones in a basket outside. The towel rack in the bathroom fell off in my hands. The worst part of my stay was having no access to the main hotel and lobby from outside
