So much yumminess in one place! Visited yesterday and had to come back today for more! The pastries are all so fresh and flaky—not sweet, you really taste the flavors of the pastry and fruit! The coffee is “real”, not bitter, feels like a European cup! The nuns are lovely. Lots of moms and kids there today, everyone seems so happy—it feels like a European cafe. You have to try this place!!! You will love it!
This new bakery recently opened up and it’s absolutely lovely. The nuns are so kind and helpful. It is a little bit of a wait, even if not very busy. The women do their best to make things right and take their time to make sure this happens. Everything on the menu is marked organic which is nice. I spent $21 on three pastries and a matcha latte. I felt as though this was reasonably priced. Matcha Latte: standard, on par with other places. Chocolate cream puff: the Pâte à Choux (dough) was really wonderful and light. The chocolate cream filling was good but lacked chocolate flavor. The puff was dipped in a chocolate ganache, which was rich and dark. It has some bitter notes. You could tell it was a higher percentage coco used. Ham and cheese quiche: the pie crust had a great bite and
A truly heavenly experience! This nun-run cafe is a gem. The freshly baked bread was warm and delicious, and the mushroom stuffed crepe was a perfect balance of a rich filling and a light, delicate wrap. The organic tea was superb, and the tiramisu was the perfect, divine ending. The atmosphere is so peaceful, and the care put into the food is evident.
Great place to try French pastries and great coffees. We tried chocolate croissant in the evening but it was nice flaky and exact amount of sweetness not overly sweet. Matcha latte was great just add a syrup if you like it sweet.Tiramisu also tasted very traditional. Quiet place to visit with max of 5 people. It is charming and cozy bakery.
Incredible experience with the nuns of st Roger’s abbey. The ambience and presentation of the store is incredible the staff is warm and kind and they treat you like a guest in their home the drinks are excellent and the pastries beckon to you. Beautiful hand made items that look like little works of art. We stumbled upon this place and were enchanted by its old world feel and French influence. We will definitely be back!
