Sri Mantra inside Logan Street Market is such a hidden (vegan) gem!!! Everything we’ve ate here has been amazing, including the vegan potato tacos, crunch wrap, cheezy potato wrap and sandwich, and multiple curries. The food is incredibly flavorful and tastes fresh, vibrant, and very well seasoned. It’s healthy, plant based food that still feels comforting and satisfying. The owners are also truly wonderful people. You can tell how proud they are of their food and the quality of their spices, and they take the time to share that with you. I left learning so much about authentic Sri Lankan spices and how much fresher and higher quality they are compared to what you usually buy. Absolutely fantastic to the core! The food is incredible. This is made from scratch at it's best. Comforting, yet flavorful and downright delicious food. I brought my 80yr old aunt with me one day and before she left she was asking if Sri Mantra offered meal prep delivery service, she enjoyed it that much. Meanwhile, my well-developed palate where I've enjoyed many cuisines from around the country and the world was also *supremely* happy with the flavors of every single dish. Located inside Logan St Market, this is a wonderful spot for vegan food with a more healthful focus, when traveling Chicago to Florida and back or visiting the Louisville area. Nothing deep fried, just flavorful and filling fiber-filled dishes. The owners are lovely people, the food is delicious and fairly priced for the quantity and quality. They also sell a small variety of clothing, bags and high quality fragrant spices and tea from Sri Lanka. We had a curry dish and the crunch wrap. I was also able to purchase a pouch of black ginger tea, curry powder and Ceylon cinnamon. We enjoyed our food and we will return next time we are in town.
