Local favorite for years & regularly recognized in the local paper as a best choice! The hometown hospitality starts with the Gratis Fresh crispy Pork skins & gets better from there. Even though it got very busy, our waitress was friendly, attentive, & timely with her service. Homemade onion rings ate well. Fried okra were tasty & not slimey! The sausages were plump & literally exploding with juicy flavor. (Helpful hint!😂😉ask for a knife) There a variety of homemade sauces to try as well.

I was in town visiting my sister and she suggested Squealers for lunch. I jumped on it because she had taken me here once in the past and the wings were delicious. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the turkey sandwich with potato salad. My sister ordered wings. We waited for our order for at least an hour. I remember telling her that I bet my sandwich was going to be huge. The sandwich was $10.49. When our food finally arrived, I was absolutely shocked at the “sandwich”. There were two paper thin slices of turkey that looked like undersized slices of lunchmeat. There was a thin tomato slice and small piece of lettuce and a dollop of mayo. I WILL NOT EVER GO BACK THERE!! This is the second time i have had a bad food order. The first time my order was terrible so i called to let them know my dissatisfaction. I was told to just bring the food back and they would fix another order. I did so and SHE honored her word so i was fine. Yesterday, after a very long cold day i went to squealers to order some sausage links. When i got there the LADIES were very sweet and professional. I get home and settled in then i opened my order and was sooooooi disappointed. The Sausage was hard, dry, wrinkled and black on the ends. Totally inedible. This was my first time dining at Squealer's. It was a Saturday afternoon at 4:15. The restaurant had 3 other guest at the time we were there. The two positive items were the pork skins and the BBQ sauces. Do note, the BBQ sauces are very thin and heavy on the vinegar side. The food itself was not that great. We ordered the sampler. The brisket was dry, rubbery, and tasted old. It was almost like it was heated up in a microwave. The same could be said about the pulled pork. The ribs and chicken was average. The wings and sausage was good. We had roasted potatoes, baked beans, and potato salad. The roasted potato was just a baked potato sliced up. The potato salad and baked beans was nothing special. Made a pit stop here during my road trip. Had dinner here and it was great! I had their meat sampler and everything was cooked right and seasoned great. Staff were friendly and service was good. There happened to be a country band performing and the atmosphere was great. Would definitely come back. Try their pork rinds. They're fresh and delicious.
