Full disclosure: I didn't stay at this property but I visited with friends that did stay at SpringHill Suites Butler. The location is right in downtown Butler so it is close to businesses and restaurants. There is a large parking structure next to the property where you use your room key for access. Every member of the front desk staff that I saw interact with my friends were friendly and helpful. They gave a lot of good recommendations and were happy to offer bottled water on many occasions. I based my room star value on reports from my friends. I did not visit any of their rooms but they were very happy. Overall, I would recommend this property if you are in the Butler area.

I've stayed many times at this hotel and love the large room size and the location--easy walking to many great restaurants. In previous years, we would sit in the lobby and play cards or eat dinner from a local take out place. This year, we were told the lobby was closed after breakfast and that we were unable to sit there (all the chairs were put up and the TVs turned off). When we sat at couches on the side, we were told we had to leave and found the employees to be rude. They also had a rule where we could not have more then the registered guests in our room, so the two families meeting were not even allowed to sit in a room and play cards.

We traveled with a larger group, 6, and felt like we had plenty of space in our suite. Rather than a typical pull out couch, the suite had a terrible bed so one person could sleep on the terrible with a normal twin mattress and the other could sleep on the couch which was also comfortable. The suite was spacious. The hotel is right downtown Butler and is an easy walk into town for any food needs. Internet worked well throughout the hotel. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the front desk person knew the size of our party and made sure we had extra towels and a larger sure to accommodate. The hotel has a more modern look and was bright and cheery. If coming from 80, there is about a 25 minute drive. The breakfast was good with plenty of food and it was well prepared with nothing over co

Disappointing Stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott – Butler, PA We recently stayed at this hotel for four nights, and while the property itself appeared clean and fairly modern for a short-stay hotel, our experience was far from smooth. First, the complimentary breakfast was extremely underwhelming — the food had the texture and flavor of cardboard, and the coffee was just passable. For a Marriott brand, we expected better. The most frustrating part of our stay was being automatically checked out after two nights, despite booking for four. We had to go through the check-in process all over again, which was especially upsetting for my 78-year-old mother, who thought her belongings had been taken. It created unnecessary stress during what was meant to be a restful stay. Housekeeping als
