I enjoy stopping for ice cream. Wish they made smaller cones and had the option of hard ice cream. It seems they frequently require cash only as their " internet" is down. Can't process cards, which most people use.
I absolutely adore this Dairy Queen. It sits right next to a golf course. They have picnic benches and chairs sitting in the grass. The people that work there are always so nice and friendly. I love taking my son there to relax and enjoy a nice ice cream treat.
Old-time ice cream stand: SUPER friendly service and a nice selection of everything! Next to the stand, they also have a Cornhole game setup, plus a tetherball game. Lots of fun!!
Our group stopped here Sunday evening. I don't know what ice cream/ice milk product they were serving, but it was NOT a Dairy Queen product. It was awful (taste and texture). Also, the serving size of Medium was a joke. Much more like a Small. We were ripped-off in more ways than one.
Who doesn't love a blizzard? But this was an extra cool treat from this OG DQ, operating as a drive up ice cream stand in this location since 1954!
