i would not recommend spooner tax professionals based on my experience. when it comes to your taxes, accuracy and professionalism should be the bare minimum, and i left feeling like neither were taken seriously. there was a noticeable level of arrogance in the room, and the person handling my taxes carried himself with an ego that made the experience uncomfortable and dismissive rather than reassuring. when you’re trusting someone with something this important, confidence is one thing — but arrogance without precision is another. i chose to take my business to H&R Block instead, and the difference was immediate. they were thorough, professional, and i felt confident everything was done correctly. i also received my best refund. where you file your taxes matters. choose somewhere that va

Too many mistakes coupled with an air of arrogance. We've decided to go elsewhere, because accuracy matters.

I was not impressed. Last year he failed to use the simplified method worksheet necessary for my annuity & stated he never used it before. I had to insist he redo my taxes correctly, & made sure my out of state taxes were done correctly. I felt he patronized me like I didn't understand my own finances for the last 20+ years. I will be going elsewhere in the future.
