Spicy Sugar Thai Long Beach

Chan Lee the staff was amazing gave us knowledge above the food. We order the tum yum soup was 10/10 stars. Thai tea was 8.5/10 stars. Crab fried rice was super 10/10 stars. Tofu spring rolls was ok 8/10 stars. Crab Rangoon 8/10 stars. Pork skewers was 8/10 stars. Chicken green curry was 20/10 stars. Yes 20 it was very good. This place is amazing I recommend this place for dates or family.

The food tastes good, but the service is pretty bad. The staff don’t seem to know the word “thank you” and provide half-hearted, careless service. Their attitude is cold and unwelcoming—just like the iced tea they served. The prices are high, but still acceptable, and I even left a 20% tip. Still, I won’t be coming back. This was my first and last time. Even street food vendors are far warmer and kinder than this.

I saw this place on instagram and had to come in!! We got there and it was soo busy, but we got lucky that a table opened up. The ambiance was nice and dim, great vibes. We ordered the fried fish and our server, Audrey helped us with other food suggestions. We couldn’t decide because everything on the menu looked soo good! She helped us pick a couple of dishes. The crab wontons were amazing!! Best ones I’ve ever had so far! Lb pad gai was nice and garlicky, loved it! Monica was the one that brought out the fried fish, she was such a delight. As packed as this place was, they were so great. Shout outs to them! They definitely made our night. We will definitely come back and bring our friends

I saw this restaurant on IG so decided to give it a try. They don't have a private parking lot, therefore had to circle the neighborhood about 15 minutes to find street parking. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. They have a few outdoor tables and plenty of seating inside. Booth style and regular tables available. The staff is warm, attentive, and friendly. I really enjoyed the music they had playing. Mostly acoustic versions of popular songs. The menu has lots of yummy options. Ordered the Tom Yum and classic Pad Thai... Both with chicken. Both were good but nothing special about about them. I could've gotten better at other Thai restaurants closer to home without having to deal with driving 30 minutes and search for parking. I don’t live near this restaurant, but I decided to try it for the first time because I was really craving authentic Thai papaya salad. I was pleasantly surprised — the papaya was hand-shredded, perfectly crunchy, and tasted just like the traditional som tam I’ve had in Thailand. It truly felt authentic. I will definitely be ordering again. Absolutely delicious and excellent!
