Spicy Cantina

Our favorite Mexican destination in Seaside Heights. We love the hand-made guacamole and fresh dishes. The views and service are also fantastic!

Great way to kick off our summer season! We were off from work for Juneteenth, and had some nice weather. Love the view, the margaritas were on point and I have never had a bad meal at Spicy.

I want to start by saying that the service from the waitress was amazing. She was attentive and polite. This is one of the only reasons for giving them any stars. The outdoor seating are is nice as well because the views are pleasant and the breeze was nice. However the food served at this establishment is at best very average. I ordered the chicken al pastor tacos and I found them to be dry and under seasoned. This dish is typically served with juicy marinated chicken. This was not the case at the Spicy Cantina. My daughter had the shrimp tacos and she stated that they were not that good. Coming from a hungry teenager that usually never complains was concerning. This will be my go to spot whenever I visit seaside. The restaurant is huge, has indoor and outdoor seating. The food was amazing. They start you off with nachos and salsa. We ordered a birria quesadilla and coconut shrimp tacos. Beyond perfection. Great in flavor and not too filling. The drinks were good as well, not weak or cheap on liquor. Highly recommend grabbing some food here.

Came to Spicy’s three times in two days!! The shrimp fajitas and the fish tacos in soft shells were incredible. Very generous portions, staff were so lovely too.
