Spice 94 Indian Restaurant

I am SO glad this place opened its doors in Jacksonville. Quality Indian food is something we have been sorely missing north of the river. And this is quality. My husband and I have been here many times and have always had a wonderful eating experience. I tend to find the food served at many Indian restaurants to taste pretty similar. That's not a bad thing at all. When you are craving that familiar flavor, you are going to find it at most of those places. The first time I ate at Spice 94 was the first time I had Indian food that tasted different. There's a unique level of flavor that made me think, "This was cooked by someone's grandmother." Went on New Year’s Eve, and got seated right away! We had made a reservation beforehand, just in case, but was glad to not even really need it. That being said, the food was delicious! The fries, as the appetizer, came out quickly. We went with mild, but think medium or the max spice level could’ve added a bit to them, mild had a little bit of seasoning but not much. Both the Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala were delicious, both on a medium spice level. There’s not much spice to it, so don’t be afraid of going higher - we might next time! Date nite dinner, we shared the Chicken Biryani. One serving is sufficient for two, it really is an ample portion. We had the medium spice level and it was very good. Flavors are on point and not overpowering. It is a fun and quiet atmosphere, allowing for cordial intimate conversations, music is appropriate Indian themed at a polite level. Service is attentive but not interrupting, very knowledgeable about menu items and spices. It is a pleasant dining experience with authentic Indian foods. Various options for NAAN, all of which are flavorful and delicious. Chicken Corn soup was spectacular as are the Samosas with appropriate sauces that just pop with flavor. Great little hidden jem. Yes, it is inside the motel, open to the public. The food was amazing but the service was even better. Both the ladies who served us were over the top! The food portions and presentation was excellent. Cannot wait to try something else off the menu. Tandori chicken full portion was four legs and thighs!

My dining experience was exceptional. The welcoming atmosphere, paired with the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, made my evening perfect. The food was just as impressive. Yummy food, great prices, and super friendly service! This place is a must-try. 10/10💥
