It was a very cozy place. I love books and coffee so what's not to love? The coffee wasn't as good as Starbucks but I prefer to frequent local businesses. Definitely try out the chocolate crossiont! It's delicious! The staff is also very kind and helpful. Would definitely go back!

Such a hidden gem! The workers were incredibly friendly & eager to share their personal favorites. I got a Blondie with salted caramel and hazelnut added. Luke got a caramel latte. We loved it. They also had focaccia bread! The merchandise is also really cool! Having Comfort color brand impressed me. I’m going to keep an eye out for some short sleeved dark brown shirts 👀 Decent book selection too! Thank you Spencer & Co. ❤️

Spencer & Co is exactly what downtown Gaffney needs. It’s inviting, cozy, & beautiful. There is a lovely selection of French pastries - various flavors of croissants and muffins, & yogurt bowls, as well as loaves of bread and a variety of coffees and teas. The book portion has something for everyone, with new and secondhand options and books of all genres. There’s plenty of seating where you can enjoy your purchases alone or visit with a friend. The pricing is reasonable/comparable. I truly hope this gem makes it and is part of the revitalizing downtown needs!

Over $7 for a drip coffee with cream. No refills! ($4.30 at Starbucks. $1.50 at gas station. For comparison). First place I can remember that doesn’t do refills. Friendly staff. Nice place. Good flavor. But the price and no refills unfortunately has to give 1 star :-/ All the best. Update: Correction. It was an Americano. My apologies on the misinformation. The total was $7.18 via cc. To you and the hundreds of specialty coffee shops I have been to that give refills on americanos: A very sincere Thank You for the space and the internet (Although doubtful coffee shops would be as successful without this offering). This is such a relaxed, quaint little place. There are several cute nooks to sit and drink a latte, browse through a new book, or work on your laptop. The cafe in the back has plenty of drinks and some bakery items to choose from. The small selection of books and gifts are arranged purposefully. The ambiance is so chill, it's hard not to enjoy spending time here! Great addition to Gaffney.
