South San Francisco Public Library

This is my second home these days as my 3 year old demands I bring her here every day after preschool. Such a beautiful building with lovely views, great infrastructure and a fun playground for kids of all ages. There’s enough here to keep kids engaged for hours and I hate convincing my kid that it’s time to go home. 😜 Love the summer craft activities they are running these days on Mondays, it’s been a nice downtime thing I enjoy doing with my kiddo. I hope they continue maintaining the facilities and the excellent service by all employees here!! One pet peeve is that the kid section in the library has monitors/screens that can be distracting for toddlers and the books aren’t arranged in a logical manner to easily access and find the titles we’re interested in.

Very clean, nice tables and chairs. Nice rooms for free renting hours. Great printing service 15 cents for black and white paper. My son loves playing toys and Legos here. And they let kids put their builds in the cabinet, so they can keep building it next time or display it.

Who doesn’t like a good library? I like this place because it’s easy to reach, offers plenty of parking and is centrally located. Also has a playground attached and has a lot of chairs and tables for working. The free WiFi is fast enough for video calls. Nearby shopping plaza allows you to get food for lunch without leaving the area.

I love this library. It’s small but primely located on the top floor, which gets great sunlight and makes for a good reading and coworking space. The county has a wide range of books to borrow, including the Dungeon Crawler Carl series (SFPL doesn’t have it!). The staff are kind, and printing is cheap. Book drop off (inside and outside) and hold pick up are on the first floor.

The most modern library I have been to so far. I remember seeing this building under construction, and now I have been able to experience it in its complete form. It functions as both a library and a recreation center, so there is so much to find here. From the books to the computers to the tables and even the restrooms, everything is in pristine condition. Though, there is more to do than just study- there are makers paces for all ages, galleries, classes taking place, and readings often happening as well. They go beyond the basic accommodations, also offering breastfeeding rooms, and all of their utilities are functional. Not to mention that they have a park and near-direct access to the SamTrans ECR bus. I am incredibly close to giving the South San Francisco Library a 5 out of 5, but
