South Block

I was heading back toward DC on I-66 when I decided to make a quick snack stop and remembered that I had previously seen a South Block right off Westmoreland St. I ordered a Loaded PBJ Açaí Bowl through the app, exited the highway, found parking easily, and ran inside to pick up my order. This was my first time at this particular location, and overall, it was a solid experience. The bowl was ready and waiting when I arrived, and the staff seemed friendly and efficient. There’s a nice outdoor seating area if you want to hang out, and some indoor seating as well. Prices were in line with other South Block locations, but I did notice a few unique items for sale that I haven’t seen at other stores. Always fun to spot something new. I love South Block! Best açaí bow and smoothies. Everything is fresh, healthy and delicious. One bowl I truly miss when I’m feeling under the weather is the Golden Bowl (no acai). I hope the Golden Bowl makes a comeback!!

Favorite chain for smoothie bowls in the DC / Arlington area, and I like that there's no added sugar or ice (though some of the juices used in smoothie and acai bowls could still have high quantity of sugar). 4/5 stars for Falls Church specifically. Portions were smaller compared to all of the Arlington locations I've visited, where at the other shops the bowl is packed to the rim.

EFC South Block is on point! I was greeted with a smile by Vivian and Bea. They suggested the featured chocolate covered strawberry bowl. Yum, yum. The team of Viv, Bea, Adah, Ana and Maria buzzed around the joint taking orders and making all feel welcome. The place is clean and the music was bumping. EFCSB for the win!

Love going to SB. The falls church staff are so understanding and kind. The order is usually waiting for pick up and it’s nice to be created when you walk in.
