Sound View Shack

I was in the area looking for something good to eat and I saw this new place and it didn’t disappoint. I will definitely come back again great service and great food.

If you’re anywhere near the beach in Old Lyme and not stopping at the SoundView Shack, you’re seriously missing out. This place is super casual, welcoming, and just steps away from the ocean. This positive, laid-back vibe makes it the perfect spot to unwind and eat. I ordered a customized burger and they absolutely nailed it. I’m picky — I know it, they knew it — and still, they didn’t miss a beat. My burger came stacked just the way I wanted: juicy patty, cheese, BLT, extra pickles, on a toasted bun that held together beautifully. Each bite was so good. The service? A+ from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. And the owner? Incredible. He personally checked in, made sure everything was perfect, and clearly takes pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen. You do

Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was so friendly and attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and the atmosphere so right. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back specially for that delicious ice cream!
