I ordered a pork chop box on UE. The mac and cheese was gray. The pork chops were cold and old. The business replied to my first review and thanked me for trying them out. They didn't say anything about the inedible food they sold me. Please work on your food quality. No one wants to waste money or eat food that could jeopardize their health.

Listen, when you pull up & you’re not familiar with soul food then you will be a little sketched out by the neighborhood & the building. If you know soul food then you know that the sketchier the neighborhood, the worse the location, the hotter the building THE MORE SOUL IN THE FOOD. Drove in from Chattanooga dead set on a soul food plate. So glad I skipped the more commmercial locations and chose this one! My spirit led me here because after ordering fried chicken wings, collard greens, candied yams, macncheese and cornbread (bottle of juice) I FELL IN LOVE. I’ll drive two hours ANY DAY & deal with horrible Atlanta traffic for this place! 10/10🔥🔥🔥 A little expensive but worth it. Got this same plate x2 for $82. The lady who took our order was awesome. New to the neighborhood looking for some good soul food and found this little gem…I loved the decor, the manager was a peach and she explained the menu thoroughly since it was my first time in and also gave me a sample of Rich Unk peach basil sweet tea😘 my Fried shrimp platter with collard greens, Mac & chz and cornbread was AMAZING! The shrimp were fresh, the honey butter and cornbread😘😘,the green and Mac could compete with mine when I put my foot in it🤣🤣I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK👍Love love loved this food and service!!! Spending our afternoon looking for random soul food places to try, we stumbled upon this Gem in Atlanta. Starting with the costumer service my husband doesn’t mind a pleasant conversation when picking up the food! It gave getting to know your customers while the food was being prepared! Now the food from my experience and taste buds it gave 10/10 from the collard greens mm tasty, to the candied yams, which weren’t overly sweet but just right to my likings, Turkey wings fell off the bone along with the hidden saffron rice underneath definitely got my money worth with this heavy plate! Can’t remember what my husband got but that breading on them pork chops chefs kiss! Moving on to that Unks basil Tea I need a gallon! 10/10 for us will be back soon.

I am new to the Atlanta area and this place took my breath away! The energy and warmth you are greeted with as soon as you step foot into this establishment made you feel right at home. The food was absolutely amazing and the flavor profiles were beyond unique and delicious. I had the bbq pork ribs with mac and cheese and baked beans and my plate was truly some of the best tasting food I’ve ever had! To the lovely lady who I believe is the owner, please keep doing what you’re doing! You have a true talent and I can’t wait to eat here again soon! Thank you for the hospitality and scrumptious food 🪴
