Soul Forking Good

I decided to try here after my sister said she saw it on Tik Tok. I was unknowingly about 5 minutes away! Be aware the directions will take you to the food truck parked across the street but the restaurant is literally a cross the street :). I was greeted at the door and qas able to order at the register. I was helped by a very nice lady that provided recommendations. I got the turkey wings with yellow rice, mac n cheese and collard greens. Everything was seasoned perfectly and flavorful! The restaurant itself was clean, bustling and moving like clockwork. I would definitely be back to try their other selections.

If you’re looking for authentic, unforgettable soul food, this place absolutely delivers. From the first bite, you can taste the love and tradition in every dish. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy with that homemade flavor you just can’t fake. And the collard greens? Tender, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt like Sunday dinner at grandma’s house. It’s clear that quality and care go into every plate that comes out of the kitchen. Hands down some of the best soul food I’ve had in a long time. I’ll definitely be back — and bringing friends. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was really good. Flavorful, fresh, and just what we were looking for after landing in Raleigh. It was recommended to us as soon as we arrived, and we’re so glad we checked it out. We went around 2/3pm which was right on time because not long after, it got pretty busy. There aren’t many places to sit, so I assume most people do takeout, but it was worth it either way. The service was decent and everything moved quickly. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend stopping by!

As I was pulling into my hotel, I looked to my right and saw their sign. Just based on the clever name of the restaurant, I knew I had to try it. As soon as I woke up the next day, I began planning what I’d order for lunch. I settled on the baked turkey wings with yellow rice, collards, and yams. Even though they gave me salt and pepper with my to-go order, there was no need for that; everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. If you’re in the area and you choose not to dine here, you’re missing out!

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just okay. I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner with two sides. The shrimp were fine, but the fish was dry and thin, not at all like what they show on TikTok. The cabbage was bland, but the yams were good. I also got a small side of chicken wings and those were excellent, perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband had the jerk turkey wings with cabbage and yams. The turkey wings were tasty but not very hot, and again the cabbage was bland. The rice and gravy were very good. The restaurant is small and crowded, so we ate in the car. The cashier was friendly and helpful. Overall, the wings and rice were great, but the fish and cabbage were disappointing. I drove 45 minutes hoping for amazing food, so I was a bit let down. I would give it 3 sta
