Soul Food Hut

LOVE this food. We had a late lunch from Soul Food Hut. Meatloaf and Southern Fried Steak with Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra, and spaghetti and meat sauce. Oh and two homemade rolls. So good. It is take out only. You drive up to the window and they ask you to wait right by the window. It only took about 6 minutes. Later we saw they ran out of food. Delicious and homemade for sure.

I’ll admit I was skeptical at first. A small drive thru only spot that used to be a coffee shop, then a short lived fish fry, did not exactly scream confidence. I was happily proven wrong. We ordered dinner online and scheduled pickup for 6 pm, and everything was ready right on the minute. We ordered three chicken dinners with okra, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, squash and onions, plus chicken livers. Everything was packaged perfectly and still hot. Now the important part. That fried chicken was so damn good it deserves its own fan club. Crispy, seasoned just right, and cooked perfectly. And the squash and onions? Hands down the best I have ever had. No exaggeration. The food is SO GOOD! Rich flavor only the type of local small business could offer. You can tell their main goal is serving good food to people! They are also very friendly! Tried their farmhouse /cowboy soup tonight and it was absolutely delicious & perfect for this weather!

The Soul Food Hut has some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had—crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right. The sides were delicious too (the mac and cheese is a must-try). Staff was super friendly. Definitely my new go-to spot for soul food!

Great food! might be the best catfish filets I've ever had. The banana pudding was also super!
