SOFRITA

We stopped into SOFRITA during the Fountain Hills Art Festival for margaritas and some chips and guac. It had just started raining, so we welcomed the chance to get out of the weather and into what felt like a warm, inviting space. The restaurant itself is well-designed and comfortable, and it’s in a good location for foot traffic during the festival. Unfortunately, the food and drinks didn’t really hold up. The margaritas were overly sweet - even the skinny versions, which two people in our group ordered. You expect a little sugar in the mix, but these were syrupy in a way that threw off the balance. The spicy margaritas were even more confusing. Instead of infused heat or rimmed spice, they seemed to be mixed with a spicy salsa base. The result? A glass full of floating bits that didn’t

My sandwich came on wonderfully crusty ww bread and the strawberry dessert was divine! They could use some help on coming up with a great coffee bar & this would be the sought after lunch spot— GREAT outdoor seating!

Great little restaurant in Fountain Hills. Salmon tacos were great, as were the chicken tacos (not very spicy). Gluten free options are plentiful. Sit outside for a nice evening meal. Will definitely go back to try some more dishes.

What a wonderful little spot in Fountain Hills. The Bruschetta Board was amazing! The Shrimp Tacos were really tasty as well. We also tried the guacamole and that was to die for. Will definitely be back! Lovely patio with a view of the Fountain. ⛲️

Great little spot for lunch centrally located in fountain hills. Chips and guacamole are amazing, the salsa had a wonderful flavor that wasn’t overpowering. I had a red sangria that was delicious and only got better as the ice melted. Cobb salad was okay, creole salmon tacos were also okay. The service was great, atmosphere, lighting and noise level were all excellent. Bathrooms were clean, I would come here again, have a snack and a drink any day!
