Customer Reviews
Just passing through Missouri I found this restaurant right off the freeway and it is amazing. The beans are great. The cornbread is delicious and the brisket is even better. The servers were all awesome. Anytime I’m passing through Missouri. I will stop here and eat thank you ladies so much.
Being an avid BBQ cook myself I have high expectations when trying a new place. Smokin Jones was the best BBQ I've had outside of KC. The brisket was well cooked. It had a nice bark, was very moist without being fatty and had a very nice smoke ring. The pulled pork had a good smoke flavor and was so moist no sauce was required. Their pepper jack sausages were very flavorful without having an overpowering jalapeño flavor like so many do. For the sides, the mac-n-cheese was very creamy with a lot of cheese flavor. The baked beans were slightly sweet but still very enjoyable. I was too full to try a desert but my wife really enjoyed her home made chocolate pie for desert. It's about a 45 minute drive for me but I will deffinatly be making the trip again soon.
We are regulars of this business. We highly recommend anything on their menu and their sides are fresh and homemade. Staff is always courteous, friendly and always served with a smile. The prices are very reasonable for this type of market. Also , always check in for their daily specials. Chicken and dumplings and a half slab of ribs w/ homemade sauce is our bring home dinner tonight!
We did take out, for my husband's birthday. BBQ is his favorite, and I like to think of myself as well versed, having worked at an award winning bbq restaurant in NC. This was pretty great food! The brisket was incredible, the ribs were very good. The potato salad! Wow! The baked beans were also very good, and the cheesy corn was amazing. We will be back again!
From the moment you walk in, the smell of slow-smoked perfection hits you like a warm welcome. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs fall off the bone, and their house-made sauces take everything to the next level. And don’t forget to check out the pies and cobblers for dessert. The staff is friendly, fast, and clearly passionate about what they do. Easily one of the best BBQ joints I’ve been to!
