Smokestack Roasters

Smokestack Roasters is such a cozy hidden gem. I stopped in while my car was being worked on next door (it’s in a more industrial-looking area), but once you’re inside it’s warm and inviting. There are plush high-back chairs, booths along the windows, and a big bookshelf that feels like a little free library. My latte was delicious and came in an oversized mug, and it was a really comfortable spot to get some work done while waiting. The muffins are huge, and they warmed up a buttery croissant for me too. Bonus: there’s even a small play area for kids, which would make it a great mom meetup spot. Definitely worth a visit even if you’re not in the area for car repairs.

Great coffee both in the cup and in the bag for the machine at home. They have a gluten-free section in their food case, and the frittatas are delicious! It would be awesome if the gluten-free case was on the end so that the delicious looking bread was not directly above it. This would cut down on potential crumbs dropping into the case. The coffee is really good as a double espresso so I imagine that all of the yummy drinks they offer are as good. My advice? Stop in and try all the things I cannot! :-)

Really cool building! Coffee tasted great, and the coffee cake was delicious. Very impressed with how many GF options there were. They offer to warm & butter your baked good when ordering, I recommend doing this especially if you're ordering something GF.

Not much to look at from outside, but inside there's plenty of seating, including comfy armchairs and a play area for kids. The coffee is great, and you can even see the big burlap coffee bean bags, both empty and full, from all over the world. The baked goods looked excellent, especially the chocolate stout cake, but I just had a bagel and cream cheese - which were very good. The baristas were very friendly and the service was quick. They also sell coffee in bags, and have beer and interesting tonic (soda). I'll definitely be back to enjoy this great breakfast hangout spot!

The food is delicious but I’m sure it’s better when it’s hot. After a long time I went up to the counter and found our soup and latte with a film over the surface, and it ended up being pretty cold. I asked the lady there if it was our number, and she literally whispered yes. Please announce the orders so they can be heard. It’s pretty quiet in here today, didn’t think we’d have to hover at the counter to get our food.
