Smokestack Express

I got the brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and a cornbread muffin, my buddy got the pork mac and cheese with a cornbread muffin. The meats were tender and juicy. The brisket had a smoker flavor than the pork. The Mac and cheese by itself was creamy and delicious, but when adding the pork and bbq sauce, it becomes a knock out. They have 3 kids of bbq sauce, we got medium and it was the right amount of heat and sweet. It’s a smallish space with 4 tables. It gets pretty busy at lunch time, but the line went quickly. Great service, amazing food. Would definitely go again!

Kk was right, we loved it! 😂 Mentioned we were visiting from NC and this was the best looking BBQ. I absolutely enjoyed everything from the chili to the Mac! Got brisket, ribs, potato salad, Beans, coleslaw.... Wanted to try it all and there isn't anything bad I could say! Well...the spicy BBQ sauce was objectively spicy. Our southern tongues barely registered a spice, but the flavor was amazing!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

Too bad 5 stars is the most I can give the Smokestack Express is a 10! One of the best places I've ever been. We bought the brisket meal with BBQ beans, potato salad and chicken salad. Very few places give you a choice of brisket cuts of lean, marbled or fatty which is great. Fatty and marbled were my favorite, but lean is good too. The potato salad is unique with a dill pickle base, but good. The beans are homemade, and you can tell as they didn't taste like doctored Bush Beans like other places do. The homemade soft serve ice cream at the end was a great extra treat and again tasted better than normal. Best of all was the customer service from Kayla which was next level and you can really tell she loves this small bbq restaurant she's building. We will be back soon for sure.

Solid BBQ in Bloomington. Brisket is my go to but the pulled chicken, pulled pork or the ribs are also delicious. Their housemade BBQ pairs well - hot or medium are ny suggestion

The most tender smoked meats! Had the Smoked Brisket & Wings. Excellent flavor & quality! Highly recommend! Loved the free ice cream cones too!
